Stevie Bennett, MD
Dr. Bennett attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham for her undergraduate and medical degrees. As an undergraduate, Dr. Bennett was a collegiate athlete, playing on the UAB Division 1 NCAA softball team.
During her residency at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville, FL, Dr. Bennett was a four-time recipient of the Golden Apple Award as well as the College of Medicine Excellence in Student Education Award in recognition of outstanding participation and achievement in medical student education.
Dr. Bennett enjoys quality improvement projects, crafts, interior designing, running, and outdoor activities. She is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Bethany Campbell, MD
Originally from Birmingham, Dr. Bethany Campbell attended the University of Alabama where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in English and French. She received her medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training at Mountain Area Health Education Center, an affiliate of the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill located in Asheville, North Carolina. Dr. Campbell has special interest in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, high risk pregnancy, and infertility. She is a member of the American Medical Association and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Alison Heaton, MD
Originally from Jacksonville, Alabama, Dr. Alison Heaton graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she majored in Biology. She earned her Medical Degree from the University of South Alabama. Dr. Heaton completed her residency training at Indiana University.
Dr. Heaton strives to create an open dialogue with her patients, individualizing their treatment. She provides “whole person care” by combining her spiritual beliefs, scientific knowledge, and medical skills. Dr. Heaton has a special interest in gynecological surgery and minimally invasive procedures. She is a member of the American Medical Society and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. Heaton and her husband Jason enjoy traveling abroad and spending time with their children, Ava and Rowan.
Margaret Miklic, MD
Dr. Margaret S. Miklic is an OB/GYN with Grandview Medical Group. She is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. Miklic ‘s areas of specialty include: Comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care, urinary incontinence management, sexually transmitted disease testing, contraceptive options, hormone therapy, robotic-assisted surgery, family planning, and breast care.
An Alabama native, Dr. Miklic earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed her OB/GYN residency at the Oschner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Alexia Novara, MD
Alexia Powers Novara, M.D., completed her undergraduate degree at Auburn University. She earned her medical degree for the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine and completed her OB/GYN residency at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans.
When asked why she chose women’s health, Dr. Novara said “As a women’s healthcare provider, we get to walk through every aspect of a women’s life together – from routine to preventative visits, contraception, prenatal care, deliveries, menopause, and everything in between. This gives us the amazing privilege of getting to know our patients on a deeper and more personal level to offer the best care possible.”
Dr. Novara is an avid group fitness enthusiast and has a 4th degree black belt. While she doesn’t practice martial arts anymore, she still enjoys being active in any way she can, especially outdoors. She and her husband have one son and they are big Auburn fans.
Dr. Novara cares for patients ages 12 and older.
Kathryn Santoro, MD
After growing up in Birmingham, Dr. Katie Santoro attended the University of Alabama where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2006. She then earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama School Of Medicine and completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Florida State University College of Medicine in Pensacola, Florida.
Dr. Santoro has a special interest in adolescent gynecology and high risk pregnancy. She is a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Santoro enjoys Alabama football and spending time with her three sons John, Will, and James.

Virginia Winston, MD
Dr. Virginia N. Winston is an OB/GYN with Women’s Health Specialists of Birmingham. She is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Medical Women’s Association and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. Winston’s areas of specialty include: Comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care, urinary incontinence management, sexually transmitted disease testing, contraceptive options, hormone therapy, family planning, and breast care.
An Alabama native, Dr. Winston earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed her OB/GYN residency at the University of Florida Health Science Center in Jacksonville.
